All the tickets to FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and 2018 FIFA World Cup matches can be purchased at the FIFA website. During the last phase of sales, this will be

supplemented by FIFA World Cup Ticketing Centers in the host cities.

Important information: all tickets purchased through illegal intermediaries, such as online auctions and unofficial ticket exchange platforms will be annulled, and their owner won’t be able to enter the stadium or get a rebate on the money spent.

When will the tickets go on sale?

Well, actually, they have already been on sale. The first wave of tickets for the 2018 World Cup in Russia went on sale on September 14 - but the second stage of this first phase duration Oct 23 to November 16.The second phase will start from December 5.

How will the tickets be divvied up?

The tickets will be sold in two phases, the first of which has an application period which started on September 14 and ran until October 12.

Fans can apply for individual match tickets, tickets for a specific venue or ticket strips to follow the national team of their choice in this phase. Applications for tickets can only be made on the Fifa website. 

How will I know if I've been successful?

Anyone who applies during the first phase of sales will be informed of the success or failure of their applications by November 16. Between that date and November 28, tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

"We have put in place a ticketing system that will enable all fans a fair chance to secure tickets," Fifa Secretary General Fatma Samoura said.

What if I miss the first phase of tickets?

The second phase of ticket sales has also been split into two periods. The first runs from December 5, 2017 to January 31, 2018, with allocations in this period to be decided by a random selection draw.

From March 13 to April 3, tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fifa says 3,496,204 applications were made in the first phase.

Will there be any tickets available during the tournament itself?

Indeed there will be. There will be a "last-minute" sales phase from April 18 to July 15 which takes you through the World Cup tournament right up to the final, and these tickets will be implemented on a first-come, first-served basis.

How much will tickets cost?

Ticket prices will range from £79 for a second-round group match up to £829 for the final. Russian residents will be eligible to obtain cheaper tickets with prices starting at £17.

Do I need any other identification? 

Yes. All fans attending matches at the World Cup will also need to apply for a FAN ID, a free official identity document required by the Russian authorities.

The FAN ID includes benefits such as visa-free entry to the Russian Federation, as well as free use of public transport on matchdays. 

When will the tournament begin?

June 14 when the host nation Russia will play the opener at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. The match will kick-off at 4pm BST (6pm local time).
